Qingdao, China - August 17, 2008 - Qingdao produced a high-energy action-packed race course for the Yngling Medal Course today, just outside the breakwater to the Olympic Harbor. Our race for the Bronze Medal started with high expectations but we finished the regatta seventh overall after a collision with one mark, nearly hitting another, and getting yellow-flagged for kinetics.

Qingdao, China - August 15, 2008 - Tomorrow is the Medal Race for the Yngling Class and we’ll be shooting to finish our Olympic campaign with a podium place and a Bronze Medal. Our high hopes for a Gold medal evaporated today, along with Qingdao’s notoriously unpredictable winds, which delivered breeze for only one race instead of the three scheduled.

Qingdao, China - August 13, 2008 - After a day away from racing yesterday we came back to the race course off Qingdao today with renewed purpose and nailed a solid first place in light shifty conditions in what turned out to be our only race of the day. It felt real good. We now have a good grasp on third place overall, eight points ahead of the fourth-placed boat.

Qingdao, China - August 11, 2008 - After two more races today we are at the halfway point of our Olympic Games and we’re tied for third overall, although the tie-breaker puts us in fourth place. We are 16 points behind the leaders but there are a lot of races ahead of us, including the double-points Medal Race.
